Ultra-fast synthesis of nano SAPO-34 molecular sieve with excellent MTO catalytic performance

SAPO-34 molecular sieve is widely used in the catalytic reaction of methanol to olefin (MTO) due to its unique pore structure and suitable acidity. The crystallization time of traditional SAPO-34 molecular sieve generally takes several hours, days, or even longer. This not only wastes energy, but also slows down industrial production efficiency. Therefore, the development of a new method for simpler and faster synthesis of SAPO-34 molecular sieve has Very important meaning.

Recently, the research group of Professor Yu Jihong of Jilin University has developed a new method for ultra-fast synthesis of nano-SAPO-34 molecular sieve. The research group used stainless steel reaction tubes instead of traditional polytetrafluoroethylene-lined reactors, oil baths as heating media, and introduced nano-sheet SAPO-34 molecular sieve seeds into the synthetic gel to synthesize SAPO-34 molecular sieve The time is shortened to less than 1 hour. After 10 minutes of initial gel crystallization, SAPO-34 molecular sieve with good crystallinity can be obtained, and its BET specific surface area reaches 526 m2/g. When the crystallization time is extended to 60 minutes, the yield of the synthesized SAPO-34 molecular sieve can reach more than 80%. In addition, the research group conducted an MTO catalytic performance test on the ultra-fast synthesized nano SAPO-34 molecular sieve samples. The results show that the nano SAPO-34 molecular sieves synthesized by this method all exhibit excellent MTO catalytic activity. Compared with the traditional micron SAPO-34 molecular sieve, its catalytic life is increased by more than 4 times, especially for the samples synthesized in 60 minutes. It has more suitable acidity, the catalytic life can reach 686min, the total yield of ethylene and propylene reaches 80.7%, and its MTO catalytic performance surpasses the sample synthesized by the traditional reactor crystallization for 3 days.
