Growth promotion performance of 4A zeolite in pig production

Some related studies have proved that zeolite as a feed additive can promote the performance of pig growth and will not have a negative impact on the health of pigs. Adding 1%-2% of natural clinoptilolite in the feed can have a significant impact on the growth of pigs. Feeds containing zeolite can improve the average daily gain and/or feed conversion rate of pigs, and can also improve the performance of sows. Adding zeolite to feed can slow down the speed of food passing through the digestive tract, thereby improving the utilization of nutrients. The effect of zeolite is mainly related to the following parameters: the type, purity, geographic origin, physical and chemical properties of zeolite, the proportion of zeolite in the feed, and the function of zeolite to continue to act on the feed and environmental conditions required by animals.

Tests have proved that feed additives containing 50% calcium formate, 8% formic acid and 42% natural clinoptilolite can increase the growth rate of pigs and improve the feed conversion rate of pigs. Adding 1.5% of the above additives to the feed can make the first month gain of the test group animals reach 13.4 kg, while the corresponding weight gain of the control group is 8.3 kg; the daily gain of the test group is 0.47 kg, and the control group is 0.29 kg; the feed-to-meat ratio of the test group was 3.13.
