4A molecular sieve and activated alumina balls are adsorbents with good adsorption capacity. They are commonly used in industry as sorbents and desiccants to adsorb water and micromolecules from the air. The two can also be used in combination for better results. Common industry is to use molecular sieve and activated alumina balls in the air separation industry adsorption drying equipment.

 

The appearance of 4A molecular sieve is yellow or yellowish brown and spherical. Activated alumina ball for white spherical particles, common specifications for diameter 3-5mm. In the market, there are a lot of bad businesses to fill, with recycled alumina ball for sale. The appearance of recycled alumina balls is light yellow or light gray. The surface of the ball is more serious, poor adsorption capacity, rough surface.

 

During the adsorption process, the 4A molecular sieve has a higher adsorption capacity than the activated alumina ball. The 4A molecular sieve has a water absorption capacity of twice its own weight, while the activated alumina ball has a water absorption rate of only 50%. Although the adsorption capacity of 4A zeolite is higher, its crushing strength is much lower than activated alumina ball. Take 3-5mm activated alumina balls as an example.


His crushing strength is 120N, while 4A molecular sieve is only 80-90N. In two combinations of adsorption dryer: activated alumina ball in the bottom layer, to protect the characteristics of molecular sieve adsorbent.
